Have you heard of Evony: Age I? It's this exciting online real time strategy game that's free to play, but if you spend a little bit of money it does give you an advantage. I am Lord Mith on server23 and one of the many features in this game is the world and alliance chat, but if you don't like to chat there are still lots of things to do. I followed the Routine Quest this not only helped me learn how to play the game it also helped me build up my prestige which is one of the many ways to determine how well I am doing compared to other players. I suggest after building your embassy that you find a strong active alliance that will be able to help you by reinforcing your cities with troops and coordinating attacks against your enemies.
There are lots of different types of buildings you can build, but you do start out with a Level 1 Town Hall, from there you need to build cottages to start getting people in your city. There are four different resources you must gather to make your city grow. The Farm makes food, the Sawmill makes lumber, the Quarry makes stone, and the Iron mine makes iron.
Now that you have resources coming in you can start to build up your town. The Rally Spot is the next building you need it is where you can give an order to attack or conduct a military exercise; check your army's status and intelligence; adjust your attack and defending strategy, and the higher it's level the more troops you can send out.
After you have made your rally spot you will need to make the following:
- Barracks is where you can make up to 12 different types of troops depending on its level.
- Academy is where you can research up to 19 different technologies depending on its level.
- Forge is used to make metal to improve your army weapons and armors.
- Workshop is indispensable for city seizing and defense mechanics.
- Marketplace is for trading resources with other players.
- Beacon Tower is used to send early warning of invasion.
- Stable is for cavalry.
- Relief Station is to increase the speed of army movement between the cities of yours and allies.
- Inn is used to recruit heroes; I keep mine at level 1 it gives better heroes for a lot less gold.
- Feasting Hall is the home of your Heroes. You can check their status, upgrade skills, give rewards, and dismiss them.
Just a tip on selection of the best mayor for the city use a high intelligence hero for academy research, a high attack hero for building fortifications and troops, and a high politics for building construction and resource gathering.
I hope you will like this fun game as much as I do and please go to http://brian4.evony.com and start playing now.
